A 351-bed acute care hospital, Leesburg Regional Medical Center served the health care needs of Lake County, FL for 57 years. It was acquired by University of Florida Health in January 2020. The former LRMC Foundation, now UF Health Leesburg Hospital Foundation, has helped raise the necessary funds to purchase equipment and technology, complete construction projects, provide additional programs and services, and reach out into our community in a variety of ways for more than 40 years. The Foundation also funds scholarships for men and women pursuing careers in healthcare and those looking to further their education in health-related fields.
